Gentle Nutrition Principles for Balanced Plates

Jamie, a registered dietitian, explains that most women don’t need more nutrition information but less “food noise” and more trust in their God-designed bodies, moving from tracking and restriction to wisdom, intuition, and gentleness. She teaches three principles: (1) define your desire by shifting food decisions from fear/avoidance (e.g., avoiding weight gain) to desire-based goals (energy, focus, setting an example); (2) add before you take away to avoid scarcity thinking by adding water, fiber, produce variety, healthy fats, mindfulness, and movement; and (3) build balanced plates with protein, carbohydrates, and fats.
